Short term review

I only owed for month or so. The things I like, there is a short wash cycle, Water level in tub is high enough to cover clothes with water no matter how big the load, my other washer I had to add water. I've washed bulk loads without issues and clothes come out clean. Clothes are spun dry which saves on dyer time. I had an issue with deep fill where when washer emptied it overwhelmed my drain and water went everywhere. I haven't used since. Not sure I need this option. Regular wash options are fine, Early evaluation, so far so good, hope it is worth the hype.

I am very disappointed with this new washer. Instead of spending my money on a new Speed Queen, I wish I had spent my money to install a new motor in my old machine. My main complaint is that the technology has gone backwards! My old machine had a mini, small, medium and large option - perfect!! Now I have just two choices, regular or deep fill. If I want to wash just 2 or 3 items, the water level is WAAAY to high which completely dilutes the wash. My other complaint is having to put the soap in and then close the lid - otherwise the water stops running and I can't rinse out the cup. Very annoying. This new machine has taken away my ability to decide how I want to wash my clothes.

Quiet, well built washer. Needs to have a water level control though. Sometimes I want to just wash one or two items and the default of 2/3 full is too much. IMO, it should have low, medium and high like my 36 year old Kenmore 70 series had.

The washer washes clothes super fast. Love that I can add clothing without the lid locking and having to "pause a cycle". It isn't any louder than any other washer I've owned. Our clothes are cleaned very well. I will admit I was having "buyers remose" after the purchase because of the cost, but after the first time I did a load of laundry I was completely sold! I am EXTREMELY happy with my washer.

Simple controls, washes clothes with full water level. There is an issue with bubbles coming out of the standpipe during the end of the spin cycle. The adapter included is installed to help eliminate this issue, there is no clogs, changed to a low sudsing detergent. After about few weeks it is not as frequent, with that being said you still need to check machine during spin cycle to wipe up bubbles coming out of the standpipe to avoid damaging the wall.

Especially since speed queen refuses to replace a washing machine that is brand new and doesn't work. They would rather.come back every three days and keep changing out parts. I love ,love, love,my new Speed Queen washer!!! It is so nice to have a washing machine that will actually get my clothes clean! My previous washer was a "water saver" with a lid lock. I hated that thing with a passion! My clothes NEVER seemed to get clean enough. And to wash one load could take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to wash. This Speed Queen only takes 27 minutes! And my clothes are actually very clean! I appreciate the 5 year warranty that it came with. I feel that this washer is an excellent quality machine.

I had bought a brand new Maytag. It's just me and my husband in our household. We do not have any pets. We are senior citizens. Our laundry is lightly soiled. In the past I have had kids, dogs, cats and I washed hair towels from a hair salon where I worked. So my Kenmore got a work out. My new Maytag had 6 repairs in 3 years. New motor, drain pump, and electric panel. Maytag would not replace it. My clothes weren't getting clean 😕. A friend had just purchased a new Speed Queen. I was so impressed. I love my speed queen washer. Compared to my Samsung washer that we got rid of it washes a load in 1/3 the time and makes my water and electric bill less. The one complaint I have is it seems to leave a bit of detergent on the bottom of the tub. Much better at spinning the clothes and all in all I am pleased.

The Speed queen washing machine we bought had a bad motor. It had issues from the beginning but didn't stop working until a year and 3 months later. Speed Queen does honor their parts warranty so we set up an appointment with their repairman and he replaced the motor at no cost.
